Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20100111 Thunderbird/3.0.1
When we send a letter we get:
> An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded:< @telus.net> No such user here. Please check the message recipient @telus.net and try again.
Then we get:
Sending of message failed.
The message could not be sent because the connection to SMTP server mail.*****.net (or Shawmail)was lost in the middle of the transaction. Try again or contact your network administrator.
This may be from the ISP or a virus, but I think it is from Thunderbird
P.S. Everything has been working fine for a while - no recent system changes to look at
Thanks
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Write a letter (this won't happen to all mail - but is does happen to addresses I have used before)
2.Hit Send
3.

Do you get an error popup from TB or is this error message from a mail ?
>The mail server responded:
< @telus.net> No such user here. Please check the message recipient
That error message from the server means : You try to send a mail to a user at the Domain @telus.net but the user is unkown.
Do you try to send a mail to someone @telus.net ?
