User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de_DE; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20091221 Firefox/3.5.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; de_DE; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20091221 Firefox/3.5.7 Mails sometimes contain URls with square brackets. Thunderbird usually is able to display the URL in a way that the user can click on it and the URL string is transferred top the address field of the browser window. But when the URL contains square brackets this doesn't work. The URL is only "clickable" in the part before the square brackets. For example: http://www.domain.com/index.php?variable[field1]=12 is the URL string sent But Thunderbird makes a link like this one out it: http://www.domain.com/index.php?variable Thus the text of the link is shown correctly but the anchor of the link is not correct. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Send yourself a mail with a link containing brackets 2. Observe the link. 3. Click on it and observe the address field of the browser window. Expected Results: I would expect the whole URL to be displayed as a hyperlink and the whole URL to be transferred to the browser window.
