Plugin crash reports don't give users a way to submit comments. It would be nice to be able to accept comments after the fact from the crash report page itself.

Do we want to reuse a general purpose comment system here? Perhaps distributed and outside of Socorro?

We can't authenticate the user as the original crashing user, so we probably should make the comment field editable.

Thing something along the lines of http://disqus.com/
i'd rather we generate an extra token (per crash) and leave it with the owner of the about:crashes system, so when they click a link from about:crashes it includes the token and thus enables them to claim their crash and add a comment (as well as offering "yes i'm willing to share my crash report with a third party").
That's a little bit more work, to be clear. I'm open to workable suggestions, but Austin's idea of just reusing an existing commenting solution might be the easiest way to go here.
Component: Socorro → General
Product: Webtools → Socorro
annotations could be useful on signatures, possibly also reports. we're unlikely to work on either in the near future.
