User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.8) Gecko/20100202 Firefox/3.5.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20100111 Thunderbird/3.0.1 In the message composition window, every word is underlined in red. Right clicking on a normal english word (eg 'normal') brings up a menu saying "No suggestions". This seems to happen periodically with TBird 3. Restarting sometimes fixes the problem, but sometimes doesn't. I've observed this when running in safe mode. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Thunderbird 2. View a message. 3. Click 'reply' 4. Start typing a reply Actual Results: All words in reply are underlined in red (even when spelled properly). Expected Results: Misspelled words underlined in red, properly spelled words not underlined.

Michael, next time this happens, could you look into Tools -> Error console and look for errors in it ?
can you reproduce this using a current version of thunderbird? if you are unable to reproduce, please close by setting stats to resolved, and resolution to WORKSFORME or another appropriate setting. If you are able to reproduce, add new details, and a testcase if one does not already exist in the bug report.
