Opentochoice.org site is ready for translation. This is a Wordpress installation, so we have installed a Wordpress plugin to make translation easy. You can see all the strings available for translation of the theme here http://opentochoice.stage.mozilla.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=sitepress-multilingual-cms/menu/string-translation.php#icl-st-toggle-translations Around 50 strings are ready for translation.

To translate the site using the WPML tool, you need to open the page listed above and click "translations" next to the string you want to work on. Scroll down to your locale and enter the translation. Once translated, you need to check "translation complete". You can preview your work at http://opentochoice.stage.mozilla.com/?lang=<locale> where <locale> is a short code (e.g. en, es, fr. (no country party)).

Earlier this week, you may have translated, or have begun translating, a letter from John and Mitchell about the Choice campaign. For the letter translation, you may upload it here: http://opentochoice.stage.mozilla.com/wp-admin/edit.php

It goes without saying, but while translating, please be careful not to delete other locales' translations. And, of course, you should be extra careful not delete the English post. If you need any help, please contact us.
I tried to import the .po translation using the import feature of WPML tool on the site, but I don't know if this was successful. I had to add context to the import action, and added "all context", the same the whole .pot file was referred as.
I'm attaching the file here too, in case it'd be needed.
I tried to view the site here:

http://opentochoice.stage.mozilla.com/?lang=sq

But, it didn't show a translation. I've added Javier and Stas to this bug.
Hey Besnik. Adding a new context should not be done :)

I took your po file, split into 4, and submitted each one separately, each time specifying a different context. It looks like that's the only way to make sure everything is imported correctly and that unnecessary new strings are not added.

I'm still working on making all strings localizable. If you wish to update your translation, please do so via the web panel at http://opentochoice.stage.mozilla.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=sitepress-multilingual-cms/menu/string-translation.php or attach a new PO file here.

Thanks.
Thank you! Sorry for the extra work. If I knew the right way, I'd have done that myself. Please let us know when done with adding new strings.
Thanks Besnik!

I closed this too quickly since there are still some unlocalizable strings in the WP theme that we are fixing. Apologies. Reopening until all strings are fixed and then translated.

Besnik, there were a few new string additions, see bug 546713 comment 6. Could you have a look at them today? Thanks.
Done!
Now that was quick! :)

Looks like the Facebook message is still in English: "I've just read Mozilla's open letter on the importance of choosing your Web browser." No biggie however, we're still working on making sure it's used when you click the 'share on facebook' link (bug 547612).

Marking as fixed, thanks Besnik!
