Build Identifier:
If any value has an error while editing the public profile, no values are saved. This means that any correct values are potentially lost, which seems unnecessary as the profile as a whole need not be complete.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Edit the public profile
2. Enter some valid values
3. Enter an invalid value in some field
4. Press save
5. Leave the site and come back to the profile
Actual Results:
The values which were valid are saved to the profile.
Expected Results:
The valid values are lost.

I think with most sites when you fill in a form your entries are retained for the current session and are only entered into the database when you have completed the form successfully.

Regardless of what other sites may do, I feel it makes sense to retain values which are valid. In this case, a profile doesn't have to be complete like some other forms. It's perfectly acceptable to save some values and leave others blank.

Hi Micheal,
I think were going to retain the standard form submission work flow which i believe you'll be happy with alongside our recent simplifications to the public profile page.
Best,
