548138 - Firefox crashes when I try click the "MAIL" icon.

When the window crashes I get a message "Sorry oops" restart session or reopen"

Regardless of which I Click the same thing will happen two or three times at random till the "mail" opens and I can get my mail. At this point the session continues without further problems. 

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open Firefox
2.Log in to account.
3.click on "Mail"

So it seems as though your mail (or something related to it anyway) is causing Firefox to crash. The "oops" message is a feature to help you get back to where you where when you crashed.

A couple things that will help:
1. What website is it that you're using (Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, etc)
2. Is it a specific action that causes Firefox to crash or does it happen randomly while looking at email?
3. Can you reproduce the crash in safe mode? (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode)

I am using AT&T Yahoo.
Happens only when I click on "MAIL" window.
Does not happen once I am in the e-mail.
I have not tried the safe mode.
The problem is intermittent, and only happens about 30-40% of the time.
The "message is not always successfull in gatting back to the session?

Reporter, are you still seeing this issue with Firefox 3.6.13 or later in safe mode? If not, please close. These links can help you in your testing.

You can also try to reproduce in Firefox 4 Beta 8 or later, there are many improvements in the new version, http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.13 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
