We want to conduct an A/B test to see which of the following two articles is best for our users: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Windows+start+page+1 https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/For+Internet+Explorer+Users+1 The test should ONLY be for EU ballot builds using the en-GB locale. This translates to this incoming URL: http://support.mozilla.com/1/firefox/3.6/WINNT/en-GB/eu/ieusers We'd like this test to start asap and run for as many days needed to see which one is giving us the lowest bounce rate. We'll file another bug when it's time to close the A/B test (by undoing this bug). Thanks!
Just for the record, Jeremy did a similar A/B test implementation in bug 484283, if that's helpful info.
Important correction: the incoming URL (as specified above) should be 50/50 % split to the following 2 pages: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Windows+start+page+1 https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/+For+Internet+Explorer+Users (We can't put +1 in the end of the second article because that would actually show up in the article title.)
Passing off to oremj but I don't know if this is something we can get wrapped up in under 8 hours. Although it is oremj so who knows!
oremj, would it be better to move sumo to zeus and do this? how quickly can that get done?
There is already a bug to move SUMO to zeus and I think that should be done first. Can this wait until next Tuesday?
Yes it can. Thanks.
All set. Implemented as explained in comment 2.
Verified. I get the following two pages: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Windows+start+page+1 https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/+For+Internet+Explorer+Users Thanks!
