Account Manager uses a toolbar button instead of a small icon in the url bar. I'm using the current (url bar) icons in the toolbar, but they don't look like buttons, so they look a bit odd. Buttons should be considered throwaway. Unfortunately mac & windows toolbar buttons look quite different. But if there's a visual style that will look reasonably OK on both, we can go with that.
ping - any kind of ETA here would help me. I'm hoping to release the addon sometime early next week. Worst case I can release without these icons, but I'd rather have them. Is that realistic?
Are there different states needed for the button (ie color change, globe added, etc) or just the default, disabled, and hover of the toolbar.png states?
This is the full set of states we have: * Not supported on this site. * No saved account for this site (signed out + no saved account) * Passive (like Amazon's "welcome, <name>", but not really signed in) * Not connected (signed out) * Connected (signed in) However, we can combine some: the first four can share an "off" state, and connected can be an "on" state.
Additionally, there are interim states, like "probing site" and "signing in", which eventually we will want to express somehow (throbber?) -- we can do without this for now.
Playing with this now. Buttons in OSX don't involve any color, so trying to see what can be done for this. May have to use color anyway. The current glyphs are the perfect size to go on top of the standard FF OSX button shapes. As for Windows, I'll need to make a larger version of the glyph as 16x16 is too small for the large toolbar icons.
Created attachment 429570 [details] Button Mockup - OSX + Win default (on) disabled (off) and click for each.
These look good! Can you cut them up?
Sure thing. I'm on it.
