Please try http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode Does it hang before the downloadmanager opens or if it finished downloading and the virus scan starts ?
Hello, I am using Firefox 3.6.6 and I encounter the same bug ( on safe mode, clean profile, working profile). Steps to reproduce are the same. Firefox freezes when "left-click" on the download link, or "right-click-->save as". The download dialog doesn't come out. If I close Firefox using the "X" button, Windows XP reports "The program is not responding." the Error signature: szAppName : firefox.exe szAppVer : 1.9.2.3828 szModName : hungapp szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000
Version: unspecified → 3.6 Branch
