Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_8; en-US) AppleWebKit/532.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/4.0.249.49 Safari/532.5 Build Identifier: 3.0.2 I upgraded to 3.0.2 (from 2.xx) and stopped seeing the flag in the doc icon indicating that mail had recently been received. I downgraded, and the old behavior returned. I re-upgraded to 3.0.2, and the first time mail was automatically retrieved, the flag was displayed, but it has never been displayed since then. Mail is automatically retrieved (via POP) a few times a day, but there's no indicator when there is new mail. I have tried changing various hidden configuration flags, to no avail. I read the entire discussion for bug 518828, but the people complaining there have a different problem than me. I use POP. I never use IMAP. I don't use TB to retrieve news or subscribe to RSS or anthing else. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. wait for thunderbird to retrieve mail 2. look at the doc icon. No indicator of new mail. 3. Open TB. Sometimes there's new mail, sometimes there isn't. Expected Results: When new mail is retrieved, there should be a red flag with a count of new mails recently retrieved. Mac OS X 10.5.8. A MacBook.
