I am not familiar with "!analyze" or "stacktrace with windbg". I am a USER, not a developer. I can attach a screenshot when it happens again, and I can attach a log file if you specify the name of the file and where I can find it - outside of that, am I not reporting this bug in the correct area? Thanks... Andy
all i ask is for you to read and follow the instructions in the linked web page. if that's too hard, http://support.mozilla.com/chat will gladly walk you through the same web page step by step.

Actually, the more I research this, the more I am finding that the cause is NOT Visual C++ 2008 - rather, it's ADOBE FLASH. See the following link for just some of the MANY, MANY people that have 3.6 crashing with Mozilla being TOTALLY UNRESPONSIVE TO THIS SEVERE ISSUE: http://getsatisfaction.com/mozilla/topics/flash_causes_firefox_3_6_to_freeze_how_do_i_stop_this Now, is this a FIREFOX ISSUE or an ADOBE FLASH issue? Seems to me that this is a FIREFOX issue, as FLASH doesn't have this problem with other browsers, and pre 3.6 builds of Firefox didn't seem to crash like it does now CONSTANTLY. So, is someone out is Mozillaland going to help us users that cared enough to stop using IE to be faithful to your camp? Non-support like this is expected from Microsoft...I thought you guys were a little above that.

No, Tyler. Firefox (now 3.6.3) crashes on me at least once a day, always when I am viewing or attempting to view (flash) video. I'm not sure what to do - go to support.mozilla.com? I can't believe that this is only happening to a select few users. What would you suggest I do now? Thanks... Andy

Yeah, i'd update your flash to 10.0 r45, then create a new profile, then give a stacktrace if it still happens. https://developer.mozilla.org/En/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_for_a_bug_report

Hi, Tyler and Timeless... Well, I do have 10.0 r45 installed: WIN 10,0,45,2 I'm running Windows 7 x64 Home Premium. To be fair, it * appears * to be a problem with Firefox / Flash, but the Windows Action Center reports it as a "problem with Java". Additionally, Firefox Crash Manager does kick in some of the time and sends a report to Firefox, but I never heard anything back - not that I would under these conditions. I will create a new profile and do a stacktrace if needed. I will also go to support/chat if need be. First things first. I will update as proceedings go. Thanks... Andy

OK. Even with the new profile (and some add-ons running), just got this crash: http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/e8367159-f2ce-4f07-a784-178972100415 Last crash from yesterday before new profile looks exactly the same. Hmmm....looks like SKYPE is the issue? Or.....?

The point of a new profile is that you don't have any addons. So yes, it looks like skype is causing it. bug 546632?
