Every time I delete an email, Thunderbird freezes up for about 30 seconds. After that 30 seconds everything is fine. It does not affect the other programs for the most part. This is with Thunderbird version 3.0. When I had version 2.0 I never had this problem. This problem started immediately after I downloaded the updated version. I've had this new version for a few months now, and it still persists.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Select email
2.Press "delete" button

Actual Results:
Thunderbird immediately freezes up for about 30 seconds.

Expected Results:
The email should have been deleted without freezing up.
Same problem as bug 539389?
No, I wouldn't say its the same. I can delete one or 50 emails at the same time, and it will still freeze up for 30 seconds. As far as I know, I only have problems when deleting emails, nothing else.

Did you disable "Global Search and Indexer" and "auto-sync of all IMAP folders" which were enabled by default, without your permission, upon upgrade to Tb 3?
Do you have very large volume of mail data?
If both answers is No, disable "Global Indexer" and check freezes or not, please.
(If huge mail volume, re-indexing by re-enable may takes very long time.)
You are possibly looking problem of Bug 530098. Setting dependency for ease of tracking.
