^M at the end of ics export forbids iCal import

Import ics fails in iCal, error message: "This calendar file is unreadable. No events have been added to your iCal calendar."

Solution: 
Remove ^M in the ics file.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In Thunderbird, go to Menu Event& Tasks -> Export
2. Select calendar
3. Type file name + Select ics format
4. in iCal Menu File->Import
5. Select: Import an iCal file
6. Choose the file created above + Click Import
The ^M at the end of the line is a windows newline character. This is totally valid per rfc5545. Maybe some other aspect of it is broken. Please try validating the file at:
