Details

The code to create parametrized traits for vectors can be called at various times during execution; e.g. parsing, verification, interpreting, jiting.

This can lead to inconsistent behaviour depending on when the code is executed (see bug 543898 for an example of where this has been fixed).

We probably want to solve this by resolving the trait (and add it to the domain) at parse time.
