User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; pt-BR; rv:1.9.1.8) Gecko/20100202 Firefox/3.5.8 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: Thunderbird 3.0.3 pt-BR

i'm having some problems with sending messages when the main Thunderbird window was closed and only the compose window is still opened. My sent folder is an IMAP folder. In that case, Thunderbird do sent the message successfully, but gives an error about saving it to the Sent folder. There's no problem at all if the main Thunderbird window is opened, it just happens when the main window was closed.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. have an IMAP account configured and configure Thunderbird to use an IMAP folder as the 'Sent' folders
2. open a compose window
3. close the main Thunderbird window, let compose window opened
4. type a real message and send it

Actual Results:
message IS sent successfully but cannot be saved on Sent folder

Expected Results:
message successfully sent AND successfully saved on Sent folder

my main email account is a Google Apps IMAP account, but i have tried with 'normal' IMAP accounts (dovecot IMAP serverif it does matter) and the bug also happens there.
the Imageshack screenshot didnt appeared on the ticket ... here it is:

messages are in pt-BR, but would be something like:

there was an error copying the message to the folder 'Sent'. Try it again?
Status: copy failed

asking to try again shows again the same message, no matter how many times i click it.
