Crash Data
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9.1.8) Gecko/20100202 Firefox/3.5.8 GTB6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9.1.8) Gecko/20100202 Firefox/3.5.8 GTB6 Not only ff but all my other browsers too (MSIE, chrome, safari) happen to crash at that page since several month on my private XP notebook, though flash runs fine with almost all other sites. My office laptop (VISTA) and some other PC do not crash, some others it tested do. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. enter URL mentioned above Actual Results: ff crashes after some seconds when the flash tries to play the webcam crash dialog follows - ff restarts. Expected Results: visualize webcam as about a year ago Some other browser (safari) reports that the adobe shockwave flash plugin crashed and resumes without crashing. There are other sites (e. g. http://www.joyourself.com) that show exactly the same behavior as soon as a webcam is involved.

Well, if IE and firefox, and chrome, and safari ALL crash, then this is nothing we can fix. IE uses a totally different flash plugin then any other browser. I would make sure both flash versions are up to version 10. r45 or higher, than contact adobe.

I tried to block "*livejasmin.com*" completely with "adblock plus" plugin, but the crash occurs anyway.

Sorry, this is "Shockwave Flash 10.0.45.2" there is no newer version. I have lots of crashes like those ones (Signature: IPCamera_MJPEG.ax@0xaa58e) http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-04dc72fa-80e1-4026-b1b2-205a42100307 http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/4bdc2ac0-69db-44fe-8c53-2e95f2100302 BTW: Until last autumn the crash did never occur, now it persists. I contacted the webmasters of those sites month ago, but they told me that the current flash version should always work fine. What should I tell adobe? The URL? Your crashID?

actually looks like your webcam is crashing the flash player here. Try updating the drivers.

Sorry, this is not *my* webcam. It is located somewhere else in the world. I can't imagine that *all* those people behind those websites have bad drivers for their cameras. And those cameras are always virtualized (for multiuser access) by a camera server of their provider.

Well, IPCamera_MJPEG.ax is what's causing this. Looks like some camera driver possible.

The camera driver is not under my control and the hostmaster replied they did not change anything. I believe they are trying something illegal.

In other words something unsupported. But why is only this (my) XP-laptop affected. I tried the current version under Vista and Suse - no problem occurred.

It's probably happening in the driver, and that specific driver only is on windows xp. You either don't have the device on the other systems, or the driver is different.

http://manual.longshine.de/Products/MULTIMEDIA/IC716/ seems to be the product. They have virtually no listing of longshine ics 716 anywhere on their site. Afaict they're the right vendor, and support requests should be directed to them.... I'm closing a lot of bugs which are filed as Adobe Flash bugs which are either irrelevant, not actionable, or not serious enough to track in the Mozilla bug tracker. For the most part, Flash bugs should be filed in Adobe bugbase, and we'll only track a few highly-critical issues in the Mozilla tracker.
