When I have more than one browser window open, and close one of them using the
X, all browser windows close. 
I cannot deliberately recreate it, though it happens quite frequently. One of
every four or five times. Which can be up to four or five times in an hour.

Reproducible: Sometimes



Expected Results:  
Closed a single browser window.

Does it happen in Firefox safe mode or with a new profile?

It did happen when I put Firefox in safe mode, almost immediately. I could not recreate it after about 15 tries once I created a new profile.

I was able to recreate it after around 40 attempts, with the new profile.

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.13 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
