+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #519464 +++ > Bug 509044 for Thunderbird, and bug 428216 for SeaMonkey both implement an > Icons beside Text mode for toolbars. It would be nice if this was built in > to the default mozilla/toolkit/content/customizeToolbar stuff, and we could > both get rid of our code. STR 1 look at toolbar customization dialogue in TB or Seamonkey 2 look at "Show: " dropdown Actual result We have: Icons and Text Icons Text Icons beside Text "Icons /and/ Text" has become pretty much meaningless with the arrival of "Icons /beside/ text"... Expected result: ...and should therefore be renamed to "Icons /above/ Text" Options should then be reordered as follows: Icons above Text Icons beside Text Icons Text
We could implement this in TB first instead of waiting on toolkit, just needs a single string. New bug for TB?
I implemented the icons beside text mode in SeaMonkey. I would prefer a separate checkbox similar to the "use small icons" checkbox rather than overloading the "Show" menulist.
