Details

User-Agent: Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 5.1; U; uk) Presto/2.5.22 Version/10.50
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; uk; rv:1.9.1.8) Gecko/20100227 Thunderbird/3.0.3

When sending message to mail server as per standard it is possible to send message specifying only user without server when user belongs to the same server. It is very handy to send messages within organization specifying such short address.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Customize Thunderbird to the certain mail server
2. Enter user name in the address
3. Press "Send" button
Actual Results:
Error message that message must be in user@server format

Expected Results:
Sending message to mail server
OS: Windows XP → All
Hardware: x86 → All
Can't find a dup, but I'm pretty sure there is one. Does this rings a bell ?

Should be bug #312818.

In some manner also bug #451118, bug #399329 and bug #361962 should be dupe of bug #312818.

I'm not sure only because #312818 is created in 2005. Your opinions boys?
Summary: Composing message require @server suffix → Composing message require @host suffix (user@host)
