Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.8) Gecko/20100205 SeaMonkey/2.0.3
Build Identifier: Jetpack 0.8.1 (and many (all?) previous versions)

When jetpack is enabled attempting to drag and drop text to a textbox results in the text being loaded in to the location bar and the browser attempts to load the resulting page (and almost invariably fails because the dragged text is not a valid url)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Find a page with a text box (e.g. this page)
2.select some text from within a textbox or the page as a whole
3.drag it to a textbox (or elsewhere within a text box)
4.release the mouse to drop
5.watch how the browser tries to load "http://draggedtext"
Actual Results:
browser tries to load "http://draggedtext"

Expected Results:
dragged text should be moved/placed within the textbox at the mouse cursor

there is a firefox related jetpack drag/drop bug but that seems to be only referring to FF 3.6.x (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=534767 ) however the bug being reported occurs on ff3.5
Note I entered this bug using seamonkey due to my having the login in seamonkey at the time - thus the User-Agent string above is misleading.

The bug occurs with FF3 5 builds such as

Build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.1.8) Gecko/20100214 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Firefox/3.5.8
