Here is the instruction of how to add CalDAV Google Calendar in Lightning:
http://groups.google.com/group/provider-for-google-calendar/msg/a0d57770d4c10ebf?pli=1

After add a google Calendar, when right click on the calendar name and select "Reload remote Calendars", will pop out a dialog to ask you input the google account name and password.

After that, will pop out an error , the detail show: Modification Failed.

Once you change this calendar as "Read Only", the connection can be done but can not display the event from this calendar.

It seems related to bug 523555.
Please ensure that you are using the correct instructions from <http://www.google.com/support/calendar/bin/answer.py?answer=99358#sunbird>.

Please check Tools > Error Console for messages. You might have to enable calendar.debug.log and calendar.debug.log.verbose in the advanced config editor (Options > Advanced > General > Config Editor) first.

How so? I doubt Google is using an invalid certificate?

Today I can connect to Google Calendar through Lightning. So change it to WFM.
