every time I exit from Thunderbird, starting from version 3.0 (upgraded from older version), i get a memory read error, something like:
Instruction at "0x00487f5d" referred to memory at "0x00000024". Memory could not be "read".
Click OK to close application.

No theme, no extension, antivirus and firewall disabled

Can you try to follow the instrcutions at https://developer.mozilla.org/En/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_for_a_bug_report (replace Firefox with thunderbird) and attach here a stack trace ?
