We are not emphatic enough about discouraging people from using some of our more dubious or internal-use extensions. A good example is -moz-border-*-colors, which was intended only for theme use, has really inconvenient syntax, and yet is being plugged by any number of third-party websites as New CSS3 Hotness, not bothering to distinguish it from the border features that are actually part of CSS3 and have some hope of working cross-browser. If you visit the devmo page for this extension (see URL) it has only a very subtle "Nonstandard" box and "No support in other browsers" label, buried under the examples. I want a template that produces a big, bright, scary warning box that goes right at the top of the page and reads something like NONSTANDARD MOZILLA EXTENSION We strongly discourage use of this [CSS/HTML/Javascript] extension on production Web sites. It is not part of any standard or draft standard. We may drop support for it, or radically change its behavior, at any time.

Right, I just went through the Mozilla CSS properties and made sure they all have a red banner at the top.
