Details
The link colors (link and visited) are not applied, they are ignored. This is realated to bug 31816, bug 20760, and bug 22963 in that they are also prefs that are not implemented and need coordination with the style system.

Sheesh, one month from shipping and this pref still is not implemented? We currently have the link and visited colors hard-coded in html.css, and they are blue and purple. Nominating for RTM just to get some attention: do we want to implement this or yank the pref from the color panel?

Marking P2 - we MUST implement or remove the pref. before shipping or we'll look very silly.
Priority: P3 → P2

i had filed bug 22952...which was dupped of a dup...ultimately ending with bug 35119 (xp toolkit/widgets). although the ultimate cause back then might've been misdiagnosed (or if really fixed, then regressed). my apologies that it got off my radar...

a recent query dug up bug 40340 --could this be a dup of that one (or, vice versa)?

Yes, bug 40340 sems to cover the same issue, although it is more general. I'd have no problem with this being dup'd to that bug, but I don't know why Chris W. has it...
