Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; ru; rv:1.9.2) Gecko/20100115 Firefox/3.6
After installing FF 3.6 Proxy authorization promt window is appearing all the time when new connection is tried to be established. The problem was absent in the previous versions.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. enable http proxy with simple authorization, e.g. 3proxy.
2. try to browse few pages.
Actual Results:
u'll get so many auth requests from proxy as many pages u'll try to open.
Expected Results:
Proxy auth request should appear only one time, when FF starts browsing.
After some time of browsing this problem has disappeared. But after FF was restarted the problem arised again.

I've been trying to track a different problem but also proxy-related, and I have an answer for Comment 1: It seems that firefox goes caching the hostnames and their corresponding IPs (and the proxy auth), and when you access them later it won't ask you again. But when you close the browser, that cache exists no more, so you start clean again when you open firefox again.

By the way, in the issue I'm tracking, it happens from 3.5.4 onwards.
