something that crawls videos.m.o and creates a directory (or even just an plain and simple Apache index page)

We store our videos at http://videos.mozilla.org/serv/ and it would be nice to have something that crawls that directory structure and builds up an index of the various videos.

Agreed, I keep thinking about this. Maybe we should reassign to IT and have them turn on the basic Apache index page?
Once we have an app for storing meta information, we can do something fancier than the Apache basics.

Probably want to not include the personal directories there. just these:
air_mozilla
design_lunch
firefoxflicks
interns
marketing
mobile
mozhacks
mozilla_education
personas
qa
sumo
sumo_screencasts

Apache index pages are currently turned on for http://videos.mozilla.org/serv/
It would be nice to integrate them with the air mozilla history system, but the archived video files don't contain any useful metadata, so crawling them wouldn't produce any new information over the apache index file. To be useful, a human would have to go through and enter new descriptions.
I'm closing the bug as resolved.
