Then I get the headers of the email I want to read, then the actual contents of the email I asked for. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: It's hard to find a condition to trigger this bug. Seems to happen randomly. If I re-build the index, this fixes *some* messages but not all. I remember seeing this for quite some time (sorry I'm a bit vague) in the 3.0.x series.

Thanks. I had spent quite some time searching before but "message mix" was too general and I couldn't nail it down to something more specific. This is definitely bug 543399. I'm marking as a duplicate since that one has the more activity. By transitivity, this might also be a duplicate of bug 531033.

bug 531033 is still operating and older than bug 543399, so duping to there...and all is well
