The SDK documentation for 0.2rc1 says, "At the time of this writing, the latest stable version of the Jetpack SDK is 0.1." It should say that the latest stable version of the Jetpack SDK is 0.2.

I grepped around for '0.1' and found a few other references. Atul: should the jetpack-core and test-harness versions stay in sync with the SDK?

I thought I requested review on this last night; not sure where that review request went.

This is good, but I have a few longer-term concerns about this... If we want, we can omit the version from the package.json of jetpack-core and other built-in SDK packages, and modify cfx to auto-set their 'version' fields to its own version when it normalizes their data before it's used anywhere, for instance.

For the Markdown cases, it shouldn't be hard to modify main.js to replace e.g. any occurrence of the words ${SDK_VERSION} in MD source with the current version before displaying it.

How's that sound?

My suggestions in the previous comment were intended to be enacted after the 0.2 release, btw--they definitely don't block 0.2rc2 or anything.

Sounds great! I have filed bug 554777 and bug 554779 on doing that.

Fix committed as changeset http://hg.mozilla.org/labs/jetpack-sdk/rev/3d4ae137d885.

The Add-on SDK is no longer a Mozilla Labs experiment and has become a big enough project to warrant its own Bugzilla product, so the "Add-on SDK" product has been created for it, and I am moving its bugs to that product.

To filter bugmail related to this change, filter on the word "looptid".
