Thunderbird in Lucid does not respect the setting for sending emails when set to "ask me*" when going from offline>online
When checking "Tools>Activity Manager" It does not show up as sending emails.

As I recall this happened with stable Thunderbird-3.0 version as well
Since the activity manager fails to tell me if it is sending them im not sure if it is sending or not.
This is a regressions since it worked fine on Thunderbird-2.0*

This reminds me ... why is tbird not producing libxul.so? Plugins like this (senseful or not) don't work because of that. Firefox standalone also has a libxul.so. Should we have a bug on that?

I think it would be helpful to have a bug on that as well since I don't think the 2 are related

Sorry forgot to add these are all POP accounts, there are ~6 accounts and all of them do it
This works fine for me on both the Mac versions of 3.0 and 3.1 nightlies.

There's a known bug for automatically going back online (Linux doesn't really support automatically anyway, and its off by default) but that shouldn't be affecting you.

I would suggest checking the error console whilst you're coming back online to see if anything gets added.

Re: libxul.so - you won't get that until we switch over to linking xulrunner style - i.e. with libxul.so. We've already got bugs on that work, so there's no need to file another.

Mark no I don't get any warning/errors or anything else.

I'm not real sure what you mean by automatically going back online. I click the icon to go from online -> offline than i do what I need to do than I click on the same icon to go back online. At this time it should ask me if I want to send unsent mail(i have it set to ask me) it doesn't do that and it doesn't send the email at all. They also don't land in drafts. but this was working in Thunderbird-2 and even early Thunderbird 3. i have to click the icons so is that what you mean by automatically

pop.gmail.com : potentially vulnerable to CVE-2009-3555 << bunch of these
Those errors probably aren't anything to do with this. Also ignore my comments about the automatic online that's just confusing you.

When you send messages in offline mode, do you see them in the outbox?

When you go back online, can you then right-click and select "Send Unsent Messages" and it sends them fine?

They dont have anything to do with it. I was just thinking that and came here to compare.

>When you send messages in offline mode, do you see them in the outbox?
No I dont have an outbox folder (never did) but its not in Drafts or Sent

>When you go back online, can you then right-click and select "Send Unsent
>Messages" and it sends them fine?
Right click where? Seeing as once i hit "send later" it doesnt save a copy anywhere of it i dont think it would matter where i right click

Have you looked under Local Folders? If you've not got that folder, then I'm not sure where it is going - iirc the outbox can't be moved/altered by any prefs.

This has once again prompted me to send unsent emails and sent them. I would like to leave this open for a few more days maybe until mid-late week to see if the bug becomes reproducible again The version I'm using is below
