very often I find addresses in internet. In Outlook there were an add-on which recognizes the kind of information to import as address(vcf?).
Is it possible to do so in Thunderbird?

Reproducible: Always
You want to import vcf files is that what you are asking for ?

no. there is a tool Sigparser form O&O which does what I mean:
Copy and past some rows with an address and it recognizes where what to put into an vcf.

I seem to be the only guy who needs something like that? I would like to copy/paste some lines and the tool finds where to put the information into the address automatically. Then I can save to address book

Joe, do you know of any bugs that describe this? I don't find a duplicate. But, this sounds like something that should first developed/tested as an extension

Yes, this seems to be a very specific request. Should be tried as an addon.
It is very hard to determine what in a block of text is name, email, street, city, etc.
You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
