Pull down the help menu and go to realease notes, click on any of the links on that page and you will go absolutely nowhere
Named anchors are not working anywhere. This is most visible on pages with tons of named anchors, like http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/intro/intro.html Confirming and nominating RTM, as this is a must-fix.

wow, showstopper regression. many pages are largely unusable because of this. guessing it belongs to joki. cc-ing a bunch of people to see if anyone has any clues. lorca, chrisd: it would be VERY helpful to know when this broke. Can you go back through previous builds to see when last this worked?

critical new information: this is not a general layout bug. This works in viewer. It's broken only in mozilla. That means it's probably not joki's bug. cc-ing some of the XP App guys. Please find a home for this one quickly.
one more data point: problem happens in both modern and classic skin.
This problem has been happening in the online help files as well. We were just looking at it in the 10/6 build. We've had intermittent problems with internal links in our help files, but now the links don't work at all. Copying rudman and oeschger.
Just to clarify: the intermittent anchor problems we've been having are something else specific to the NS Help window. This problem seems to be new since today's build (?).
Verah, The anchors for release notes works fine on PR3 from 9/29
Testing on Win 98, links were working on the 10_02_09_mn6 commercial build and broken on the 10_04_09_mn6 build (there was no 10_3 commercial build).
Confirmed broken using 2000100708 branch verification build on Win98. Each click adds the page to history list, but doesn't scroll to destination.

This is all platforms. I see it on Comm rel branch builds for Win32 and Linux 2000-10-09-09MN6 and Mac 2000-10-09-10MN6 Can't get to links on http://gooey/client/5.0/specs for Mail or other tragets on the same page either.
