Build Identifier: 3.4.1 (patches from site manually updated)
This is a pretty strange and unique defect for my company's installation of BugZilla. In both IE 7 and 8, if someone does an advanced search that only uses dates changed between time x and time y for a specific product, it will first show the results. Up to this point is good. However, the page will continue to load after the search has been completed if you have to scroll down any (i.e. the number of defects is so large that the scroll bar appears and you have to scroll down to see more of them/the bottom of the list) and this will eventually lead to the IE error shown below for some unknown reason:
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.
What you can try:
Diagnose Connection Problems
More information
This problem can be caused by a variety of issues, including:
Internet connectivity has been lost.
The website is temporarily unavailable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) is not reachable.
The Domain Name Server (DNS) does not have a listing for the website's domain.
If this is an HTTPS (secure) address, click Tools, click Internet Options, click Advanced, and check to be sure the SSL and TLS protocols are enabled under the security section.
For offline users
You can still view subscribed feeds and some recently viewed webpages.
To view subscribed feeds
Click the Favorites Center button , click Feeds, and then click the feed you want to view.
To view recently visited webpages (might not work on all pages)
Click Tools , and then click Work Offline.
Click the Favorites Center button , click History, and then click the page you want to view.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open IE 7 or IE 8
2. Go to BugZilla page and log in
3. Go to Search -> Advanced Search
4. Put in Defect changes section, "only defects changed between 7d and Now"
5. Click search and get a defect list that requires scrolling
Actual Results:
Page shows results briefly, but continues to load and then throws the IE error page at you
Expected Results:
Page shows results and stops loading (this is what happens if you DON'T need to scroll to see the entire defect list)

Well, 3.4.1 is missing a lot of bug fixes and security patches that came later, so I'd definitely suggest upgrading.
However, it seems most likely that your problem is being caused by the configuration of your webserver, which would be more of a support issue than a bug in Bugzilla.
