It would be really cool if we could highlight the plug-in crashes listed in about:crashes. Something as simple as a different border or background color, or as complex as including a label "plug-in related crash" or similar.
There are two problems here, not sure which one you were hoping to solve:

1. Crashes in out-of-process plugins are easy to identify on the client side,
and we can even display to the user which plugin is associated with the crash.
2. Crashes caused in-process plugins are basically impossible to identify on the
client. Even on the server it can be hard to automatically identify which
crashes are related to plugins without manual classification. And it could
be a violation of our privacy policy to ask crash-stats for this information
   without the user explicitly opting-in.

I'm all for doing #1 and WONTFIXing #2 unless people really think #2 is highly valuable.
Component: Plug-ins → Breakpad Integration
Product: Core → Toolkit
QA Contact: plugins → breakpad.integration
If I recall the context this came up in correctly, this is about #1.
yes. #1 please.
Presumably this is so someone looking at about:crashes will say "wow, plugins sure do crash a lot" instead of "wow, firefox sure does crash a lot." Seems reasonable, although I don't know how many people really look at that page...
support and other engagement teams are trying to more quickly diagnose and respond to user problems and about:crashes is an increasingly important tool in that effort. as we amp up the "check about:crashes" advice, it'd be nice both for diagnosis and for helping people evaluate our stability if they could see where the problems are actually happening.
OS: Windows 7 → All
Hardware: x86 → All
It might have been nice to do this at some point, but now that we're deprecating NPAPI I don't think this is very important.
