We should review the FlightDeck user experience to make sure it is the optimal experience for our target audience of casual developers looking to create simple Firefox extensions.  Aza expressed an interest in taking this on, so assigning it to him.

Aza: feel free to use whatever process makes the most sense for such reviews; it doesn't have to happen via this bug.  I just filed the bug so we can track the overall task of performing the review.

I don't have a firm date yet, but here's my current thinking...

I'd like to start showing the site to small groups of active Jetpack contributors (f.e. the ambassadors) within a week, and it definitely doesn't need to be done by then.

Within a month, however (i.e. by the end of April), I hope to be showing it to larger groups of Jetpack and Mozilla community participants (f.e. folks in the discussion forum), for which it would make sense to have at least a preliminary UX review to hand that we can show them, although we might not have actually implemented its recommendations by then.

And by the end of Q2, I want us to roll out a "beta" version of the site to the broadest audience of people who would benefit from it.  By that time, we should have implemented your recommendations and taken the site through several rounds of testing, feedback, and progressive development.

Note also that over in bug 548851 Sean is going to be doing a review of the visual design of the site.  I'm not sure which of the reviews should happen first, or if they should happen in conjunction, but I'm cc:ing Sean on this bug (just as you are cc:ed on that one) so y'all can coordinate the work!
