Details

We'll add details about the specific domains we plan to track with WebTrends within the week.
WebTrends is an ASP like Omniture? I think it's a licensed product like Urchin and we don't have to add it to the 3rd party list.
OS: Mac OS X → All
Hardware: x86 → All
WebTrends is a web analytics provider and we do need to add it to the websites 3rd party list.
We will tag the following domains with WebTrends this week: * mozilla.com * support.mozilla.com * addons.mozilla.org * mozilla-europe.org * getpersonas.com How soon can we update this page?
Today. I need any links to privacy policies, etc
r64967 made some updates on trunk, adding Webtrends, but missing some links, and probably some incorrect copy. Please check this page and tell me the which links to add / remove, and any copy changes https://www-trunk.stage.mozilla.com/en-US/third-party.html

Trivial, I know, but, for the sections, "sites using [provider]", can we include a ":"?
Alex - The privacy policy for Webtrends is at: http://www.webtrends.com/AboutWebtrends/PrivacyPolicy.aspx. Blake - Should the websites in the Webtrends list be removed from the Omniture list or will both Webtrends and Omniture be used on those sites for some period of time?
r64972 added privacy policy link, and ":" per comment #6. Also removed 2o7.net link. If I should add that back, let me know. Also, should it say "Analyitcs 9" or some product name where it used to say "SiteCatalyst"? Liz, I believe there will be a short transition period where we'll be using both products. Blake can confirm. Thanks
There will be a short time where we'll use both. I guess you should use Analytics 9.
Updated to use Analytics 9
We've noted this change publicly -- http://blog.mozilla.com/metrics/2010/04/14/web-analytics-and-mozilla-websites/ -- so it'd be ideal to make the page changes in the next few days. Thanks!
Ken or Blake - You'll provide Alex with an updated list of sites using Webtrends, right? Are we still using both Webtrends and Omniture or have we now switched completely to Webtrends? In addition to adding Webtrends, I have some text to add to this page re the commitments in Mitchell's blog. I'll try to provide that tomorrow.
We will get the list to Alex and there will be a period (~1 month) where we use both Omniture & WebTrends.
Alex - Please insert this paragraph between the first paragraph and the title "Web Analytics Providers": Mozilla believes strongly in privacy and user control, and we have made commitments to the community that reflect those beliefs. Here are the commitments we have made with respect to the third party web analytics tools used on our web sites: • Mozilla will use the web analytics data only to determine aggregate usage patterns for our website. We will not seek to determine personal information from this data. • Our tool provider will use the data from Mozilla websites only to provide and maintain the service for Mozilla; it will not share the information with others or use the information for other purposes. • Our tool provider will not correlate and report on any Customer Data with any other data collected through other products, services or web properties. • The domain names in Mozilla cookies will clearly identify their affiliation with Mozilla and the vendor providing the service.
Can I push this live?
Last updated should be changed to April. I don't know whether all the websites using Webtrends have been added yet.
I'll file a new bug when we migrate additional websites from Omniture to WebTrends. For now, can you add the mozillalabs domains and https://developer.mozilla.org/En?
or rather, developer.mozilla.org.
added devmo and labs domains. changed last updated timestamp to April.
I think this can now go live. Anyone disagree?
Looks good to me.
