User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.3a4pre) Gecko/20100322 SeaMonkey/2.1a1pre
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9.3a4pre) Gecko/20100322 SeaMonkey/2.1a1pre

Several times I tried loading this page with the indicated Seamonkey, and had a crash that took out Xwindows and KDE desktop. After confirming a consistent crash, I restarted Seamonkey offline, copied the URL and pasted it into Konqueror, went online and tried loading the page. It loaded OK. This Seamonkey has a serious problem with this page. I have no idea whether the problem is KDE specific, but the crash seems to kill the window manager.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a Seamonkey browser window.
2. Enter or paste this URL into the address box: http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2010-03-24-us-israel-relations_N.htm
3. Press return to start the page loading.
Actual Results:
The page starts loading and before completion, the screen becomes a black connsole screen on which the window manager login screen appears.

Expected Results:
The page should load and be displayed.

Seamonkey Talkback was not available.

actually, if xwindows died, http://viper.haque.net/~timeless/blog/143/ => File your bug w/ your xwindows vendor

I'm using Mandriva 2007.0, which is much like RHEL/CentOS/Scientific 5.4, mostly some bugfixes rather than major-version upgrades. I'd upgrade to CentOS 5.4, but its video doesn't work on my systems at acceptable resolution. And nobody wants bug reports on Linux releases more than three years old.

The stacktrace page was about Ff, not SM.
