User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.2.2) Gecko/20100316 Firefox/3.6.2 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1.8) Gecko/20100227 Thunderbird/3.0.3 I recently upgraded to thunderbird 3 and am having a bunch of different issues. The first one is that the pop-up menu never displays correctly (please see the screen capture: http://www.sub-studio.com/Picture%201.png ), leaving me unable to add a new account, quit a composed message, etc. Another problem that seems to be recurring (but that I can't reproduce at will) is the wrong email message displaying when I'm viewing a message. I'll click on a message and it will show the content of another message instead. This was happening to all of the messages in one particular IMAP account, so I deleted the account and tried to recreate it, which is when I got the above bug (no pop-up menu). I have not been able to recreate this account, because I can't get past that initial pop-up menu error. Thank you for your help! Reproducible: Always

Have you tried safe mode? (see https://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode for more information) ANd the screenshot might indicate a bad install. We only deal with one issue per bug so I'll only consider your screenshot issue here.

(In reply to comment #1) > We only deal with one issue per bug As Ludo said, one bug per issue is the policy (because otherwise things get way too complicated -- how do you know when it's fixed, for example?). However, what you're describing sounds like bug 543399 or bug 536918, so I suggest you take a look at those.

Severity: major → normal

After a search on google, I found someone with a similar problem - the fix was to completely uninstall any previous versions of Thunderbird and then to install Thunderbird 3. I haven't had any problems since doing that.
