After installing and creating acc I'm not receiving any mails to Thunderbird (nor automaticly nor by clicking the button).
But I can send a message, though it's not saved (checked 'save in sent folder of e-mail acc' but for the local folder is the same). When I send message it only shows 'Saving...' pop and nothing happens for a looong time.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.No idea... Install, create acc and try to get your mails.

Actual Results:  
Nothing? I mean - still can't get my mails from internet acc to my comp.

Expected Results:  
Should receive at least 3 mails I got today.

Can you provide an imap log as described at https://wiki.mozilla.org/MailNews:Logging while you are reproducing the issue ?
ok the logs says : 
5800[82c980]: 434d800:imap.wp.pl:NA:CreateNewLineFromSocket: * BYE [ALERT] Cannot connect to IMAP server 212.77.100.83 (212.77.100.83:143), connect error 10061

Which means that the server is refusing connections.

trying a few things it seems that wp is not offering imap but pop. see http://www.emailaddresses.com/email_polish.htm. 

From http://members.a1.net/unjf7o2/_private/emailsettings.pdf it seems that the settings are completely wrong in your case. You'll need to manually configure your email see
