actually, this is not invalid.  I found a way to consistently reproduce this.

Hmm..if I use the Go | MailNews Start page menu and try to view source, I can't.
 What's the way to reproduce, Seth?

steve, that sounds like a different bug.  

View | Message Source should probably be disabled if we are showing the start
page, account central, or a blank message pane.

I've got notes somewhere on how to reproduce this.  I'll go find them...

taking from nhotta until I do.

The file doesn't even exist anymore, I've never seen source as the start page and the steps are missing for seven years now -> INCO.
