I did close and save tabs. I started FF and the choice to restore tabs or start a new session appeared. Instead, I left this page for the time being, and did ctrl+T. I opened few tabs (not that this is relevant), and than I decided to restore some of them I needed again. I got back to the first tab and clicked to restore tabs. All new tabs I opened got closed and I lost information.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Reopen FF after closing with several tabs
2.Do not restore session, but add some tabs
3.Go back to first tab
4.Restore
Actual Results:
New tabs get closed
Expected Results:
All tabs should remain. It is by design if the restored ones should get at the beginning or at the end, but its a must that no tabs should be removed.

Ok, sorry, I did not see that it opened new window, and did not closed all the tabs, but since Win7 groups all FF windows, I could not see this happening. Thus this is not a bug, this is by design, but I am for discussing that it would be better if tabs are opened alongside the existing tabs rather than opening new FF window.

I suspect this was a farily conscious decision.
Note: Priority should only be set by developers please. resetting to --
See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/page.cgi?id=fields.html#priority
Priority: P5 → --
Summary: If new tabs are opened after restore, and than clicked on restore, new tabs will be closed → If new tabs are opened after restore, and then clicked on restore, restored tabs are opened in a different window
Definitely a feature suggestion but I think it deserves some discussion.
