Should now be "1998-2010". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Open about screen through the menu (Help > About Mozilla Firefox). Actual Results: About screen popped up, as expected. Incorrect date is shown. Expected Results: About screen appears, showing correct date. //
It works for me, using the original en-US version. Is there's a problem with the localized builds, see bug 414939 ?
with my de-DE build of Fx Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9.2.2) Gecko/20100316 Firefox/3.6.2 ID:20100316074819 i get "1998-2009" too. with my de-DE build of TB Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100317 Thunderbird/3.0.4 ID:20100317103207 i get "1998-2010". must be a product specific l10n issue.

We usually don't change locales on stable branches. Luckily, the copyright strings have been removed altogether for Firefox 3.7pre (Minefield/trunk) builds, see bug 536336.

sure, no big deal. but why the discrepancy of Fx & Tb regarding this then? different l10n rules? (TB's first 3.0.x branch release has been released in 2009)
