User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.8) Gecko/20100202 Firefox/3.5.8 GTB6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.8) Gecko/20100202 Firefox/3.5.8 GTB6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
I found that if I opened it more than three times a day, it would not open a forth time unless I do a system restart. I quit it each time properly. Twice I downloaded 3.6.2 , closed FF, and attempted to reinstall. It would say FF need to be closed, task manager indicated FF closed. Now I'm curious. I reverted to 3.5.8 as has others.
3.6 seem flawed from the start (email links never opened, several other anoinces which disappeared since reverting to 3.5.8)
Reproducible: Always
Actual Results:
FF 3.6.2 will not open the forth time until system restart, never open links embeded in emails. un/reinstalled 3.6.2, uninstlled 3.6.2, installed 3.5.8
Expected Results:
Problem solved

Is there a firefox.exe process in the task manager, and does this happen in safe mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
Is there a firefox.exe process in the task manager, and does this happen in
safe mode? Yes, firefox.exe process in the task manager if FF 3.6.2 is open.
Never used safe mode. I downloaded 3.6.2 , closed FF, and attempted to reinstall. It would say FF need to be closed, task manager indicated yet not firefox.exe in task manager.

Can you please try to use safe mode.
Restart the computer, then install 3.6.2.
Did with same results. Again uninstalled 3.5.8 installed 3.5.9
Have more screen shots.
Opened 358 three times, the forth time error
Firefox is already running and not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing FF process or restart your system. The firefox.ext
is in task manager (cpu=00, Mem Useage= 25,280k
I give up on the buggy 3.6.2
Mozella took a huge leap backwards to beet whom ever, sad. I thought the concept was to be the best, a leader!
I've found that when I do a CTL+F4, FF does not close (disappears) and use task mgr to end FF. Then when opened it is where I left off. That may explain either not opening at all or S-L-O-W-L-Y.

Did you create a fresh profile?
Hardware: Other → x86
Version: unspecified → 3.6 Branch
I did not create a Firefox profile. I downloaded 3.6.2 and installed it
I did not know that a profile needed to be created and do not know how
