User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.2) Gecko/20100316 Firefox/3.6.2 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Fire fox 3.6.3 When fire fox is open I am unable to open new window from FILE or from Start program. When I exit Firefox I cannot restart firefox until l reboot PC. If trying to install update now, Even Fire fox is exited, I get message you must close firefox first. Looking at task manager firefox is not running Reproducible: Always
Please retest in safe-mode / with a new profile: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile Also a clean Firefox re-installation could help.
I have also seen this behaviour when I upgraded from 3.6.2 to 3.6.3. Once you have requested a new window, the Firefox process lurks in the background after you close the application. You'll need to kill the process before being able to re-start the application (no need to reboot the computer) System details: ---------------- Windows XP Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
