Johnathan Nightingale has a computer with an up-to-date ATI graphics driver and the latest nightly, all on Vista, but when he right clicks on a video and goes full-screen, Firefox seems to hang with just a black screen showing.

What's more, I have local GFX peers and remote desktop support, should others want to poke at it!

No hang is occurring, we are just going very very slow and nothing is ever displayed.

Can we please get the build ID that this is reported on so we can find a regression window? Thanks.

Comment 0 says Vista, but the selected platform was OS X; I've moved it back to Vista, but perhaps we should file a spinoff bug for OS X, as I see that there with fullscreen Flash video (but, oddly enough, not with Silverlight) on Minefield.
OS: Mac OS X → Windows Vista

Stephen: I think the Mac bug you are seeing is Bug 560960. Happens with the flash version from labs.adobe.com.
I get this based on the supplied URL. The latest m-c build (2010-05-12-03-mozilla-central) is still flickering and upside down.
Regression range 1:
works:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a4pre) Gecko/20100331 Minefield/3.7a4pre
http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/b5f44530499b
broken - black screen non-responsive:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a4pre) Gecko/20100401 Minefield/3.7a4pre
http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/6a398023b956
http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?fromchange=b5f44530499b&tochange=6a398023b956
Regression range 2:
broken - black screen non-responsive:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a5pre) Gecko/20100426 Minefield/3.7a5pre
http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/2968d19b0165
broken - flickering and upside down. how much flickering occurs varies:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.3a5pre) Gecko/20100427 Minefield/3.7a5pre
http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/29a6a85fab8e
http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?fromchange=2968d19b0165&tochange=29a6a85fab8e
Keywords: regressionwindow-wanted
This seems to work now.
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; Windows NT 6.1; rv:2.0b2pre) Gecko/20100720 Minefield/4.0b2pre

I am getting the blasted blaCK SCREEN WITH THE LATEST PATCH.
this is the 2nd paqtch that has done this to me. now i can click and it lets me see the screen long enough to click on a link to go to then the black screen is back. i am now on line with chrome since FF gets me nowhere. the last patch it did go away after i spent time backing up the computer and a bunch of other stuff to try to get FF back. now i have it all over aqain and am getting very unhappy. I AM NOT a techie. on chrome, i have smaller print and its harder to read things for me unless i really increse the size of the page. so when i time i cant really see the print well enough to even edit it for typos. that is why i prefer FF but when it does this black screen junk, i am very tempted to give up on FF.
can you please resolve this mess.
