When there is new mail, the SM icon switches from my custom icon to the default one.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Change SM icon to a custom one
2. Get a new mail message
3. Look at SM icon. It's reverted back to the default one

The bug is in code shared with Thunderbird so bug 443480 is the same bug. In other words, resolving one bug will resolve the other bug automatically.
