User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.2.3) Gecko/20100401 Firefox/3.6.3

After searching in the Google Toolbar, upon attempting to clear the toolbar of the search terms, the highlighted text is removed from the search terms but only partially removed visually. (Part of the original phrase remains in the search box, highlighted, but does not interfere with new queries.)

(Graphical/Visual Bug)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enter search term(s) in Google search toolbar (More text than fits visually in bar)
2. Highlight all terms (triple-click)
3. Hit Backspace/Delete to remove terms
Actual Results:
Part of the phrase remains highlighted in the bar, but hitting return does not perform search on remaining terms.

Must be only a visual glitch.

Expected Results:
Remove all visual traces of previous search terms

No special themes or setups involved.
WFM with Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.2.4pre) Gecko/20100409 Namoroka/3.6.4pre ID:20100409033633

Can you also reproduce in Safe Mode (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode)?
Would you clarify if this is an issue with the Google Toolbar ( http://toolbar.google.com/ ) or the built in Firefox search bar which defaults to Google.

If it is a Google Toolbar issue please report this issue to Google at http://www.google.com/support/toolbar/bin/bin/request.py?hl=en&contact_type=problem and let us know so we can close this bug.
It is the built in search bar that comes with Firefox.
I was also able to reproduce the problem in Safe-Mode.
Thanks for responding. Clearing the search bar by triple clicking works for me using Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.3a5pre) Gecko/20100419 Minefield/3.7a5pre

Would you create a second profile and verify the issue in it. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Managing+profiles

Check to see if there are any updated video drivers for your system.
i have tested this with different profiles in actual Production FF27 and on Beta (Windows XP, 7)

could not find any problem like the described...

can someone check - so we can close this?
Related to bug 395357? (also, remove "Google" from the title, per comment 3)
This is also working as intended for me (clearing the built-in Google search bar) not being able to replicate the results from the original reporter. Both on Safe Search and on Mozilla Firefox 32.0.3; Mac OSX 10.9.5.
This bug has already been resolved for a while. I'm sorry this ticket has remained open, please go ahead and close it. Thank you for your efforts.
Thanks for the update
