I've noticed this issue since 3.6.0. The awesome bar autocomplete appears roughly 500px below the location bar. See attached example.
It's been a minor inconvenience that I'm finally annoyed with enough to file a bug.

Does this happen with a fresh profile? Do you use multiple monitors? Have you moved or resized the window since this started happening?

I'm not sure what you mean by a fresh profile.
I use an external monitor and occasionally switch from using the laptop standalone to using an external monitor (with the laptop closed so that the monitor is the only screen). I believe that the problem happens after switching from using the laptop standalone to using an external monitor.
The problem continues after resizing the window.
I cannot recall if the problem continues after restarting the browser, but once I can duplicate the problem I will test that as well.

This:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic+troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile
But if you can't reproduce the problem on demand, testing whether it happens with a fresh profile will be difficult...

Thanks. This might be where the bug hides.

not enough info to reproduce, though could indeed be related to the secondary monitor
