Firefox pings the update url once/day for updates. Metrics reads the logs for hits and builds stats from that. 

We need to seamlessly transition from getpersonas.com to AMO. This can be achieved a few ways. We can change all the update pings on getpersonas.com to point to AMO and/or cname getpersonas.com to AMO and have AMO respond to update requests.

I think a 301 for the entire site, and then a special 301 for /update_check/ to wherever we need it on AMO is the best way.
