User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; fr; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100402 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Firefox/3.5.9 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; fr; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100402 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Firefox/3.5.9 If I try to open a attachment in hotmail containing an accent (exemple:'fichier attaché.odt', see the 'é'), it will save the file as '"fichier'. With the " before, and without the extension. If the name does not contains empty space, it will save the file with " around. I have tried on Windows with version 3.6.3, ubuntu 64 bits version 3.5.9, ubuntu 32 bits version 3.5.8. Funny thing is that if you use the user agent switcher to set the user agent to IE or opera, it works correclty (the user agent is not installed on my machine, I have just try in a VM to see the effect) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.open an attachment in hotmail where the filename contains an accent (example:'été.txt' or 'été 2010.txt') Actual Results: Firefox will save the file as '"été.txt"' (with the ")instead of 'été.txt' or '"été' instead of 'été 2010.txt' Expected Results: should save the file with the correct name and extension
Summary: open hotmail attachment with accent in the name → problem opening hotmail attachment with accent in the name
Do you still see this problem?

I get a similar issue, but not exactly the same one. After opening an attachement named 'été 2010.txt' with the latest Nightly, User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:21.0) Gecko/20130123 Firefox/21.0, Build ID: 20130123052720, the file saved has this name: '_été.txt'
Sebastien, do you get the same issue as I do in comment 2?
I have tried again with the two following setup: 1) Linux Mint Debian Edition 64 bits, Firefox 14.0.1 (Yes, I know, outdated version. I must find a new distro...) User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:14.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/14.0.1 2) SolusOs 32 bits, firefox 18.0 User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:18.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/18.0 Same issue as described in my first message. The attachment été.txt is saved as "été.txt" (with the ")

Just because I see it's maybe not clear: I have the same issue with both versions mentionned in the previous message.
I've retested this on an Ubuntu 32-bit machine, and I was able to reproduce the issue, after opening an attachement named 'été 2010.txt', on both (the file was saved as: "été.txt"): 1) Firefox 18.0.1 (User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:18.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/18.0; Build ID: 20130116073211 2) with the latest Nightly (Build ID: 20130129030851) Marking this NEW.
